UI & UX

Project Overview
Industry: Mental health, Wellness
Timeline: 12 weeks (2024)
My Role: UI UX Designer
The aim was to explore how a digital product could make emotional self-reflection feel more approachable and consistent. HealthNest was designed to encourage users to check in with themselves, express their thoughts, and gradually understand their emotional patterns
The Challenge
Mental wellness can be difficult to approach consistently. While mood tracking and journaling can help people understand themselves better, many wellness apps can make these activities feel like tasks rather than natural parts of a daily routine.
The Approach
I focused on creating a lightweight experience where users could quickly check in with their emotions, capture their thoughts, and gradually build a better understanding of their emotional patterns.
The experience was structured around three core interactions: mood tracking, journaling, and insights.
Key Design Work
Mood Tracking
Designed a simple mood check-in that allows users to record how they are feeling without requiring extensive input.

Journaling
Created a distraction-free journaling experience that encourages users to put their thoughts into words while keeping the interaction lightweight.

Insights
Designed visual summaries that turn individual check-ins into recognizable patterns, helping users reflect on changes in their mood over time.
Visual Design
Created a calm and approachable visual language that supports the sensitive nature of the product without making the experience feel clinical.

Outcome
HealthNest helped me explore how UX can encourage consistent personal reflection without adding unnecessary friction. The project also strengthened my understanding of designing experiences around personal and emotional user data.
